Feeling good =)

I have to just say that I am feeling really good. Now mind you, I didn't have any more sleep last night (5 1/2 hours) than I've been having any other night this week. BUT herein lies the difference.

Last night as I slept, I slept deep and full...I was accomplished and I think that was reflected in my sleep pattern.

Let me review the week:
Monday...crazy busy...working on my work project, trying to start my HW early and start my Statistics Project...worked out...cardio and yoga.

Tuesday...busy again at work...worked on more the project, finished up almost all my vacation schedules (out of 28) and was very busy at work that day. Worked out again...weight training. Then I called my neighbor upstairs (as I was going to invite her over for dinner), but instead she invited me upstairs as she was cooking dinner for her son and daughter that were visiting...so that a very nice visit...dinner was nice and we watch Borat (I fell asleep!)

Wednesday...I finished my VP Project! Yippee!!! I had conversation with my advisor and found out that instead of 5 more classes to take...I only have 4 more!!! So I'm scheduled to take one this summer, 2 in the fall and 1 in the spring! Then I went home...and completed 95% of my statistics HW! And I got to read a chapter in my novel =)

I woke this morning right away! Not much snoozing at all...and came into work with my grande non-fat sugar-free vanilla latte...yummy...and I just had a banana.

What's left?

Statistics Project - April 5
Law Project - April 9
Statistics Final (not sure of the date yet)
1 scroll for April 14 that I'll be working on this weekend...

And I'm really looking forward to relaxing and playing at the bead workshop on Saturday =)

But Sunday...back to work (would like to be 80% complete with Statistics Project on Sunday!)

Thinking about upcoming events...my cousin Jeffrey is getting married April 14...

And I'll get to see my Grandfather, Aunt Joyce, Lisa and Rob! Should be tons of fun =)

ooh...and did I mention that I updated my scribal blog with the scrolls I was working on last week!!! I was totally stressed last week that I wouldn't get them completed in time!!!!

Check it out here. Remember...comments are welcome =)

How's everyone else's week going???

What do you think?

Does this accurately represent me?

drawing personality

The results of your analysis say:

You tend to pursue many different activities simultaneously. When misfortune does happen, it doesn't actually dishearten you all that much.
You are a thoughtful and cautious person. You like to think about your method, seeking to pursue your goal in the most effective way.
You like following the rules and being objective. You are precise and meticulous, and like to evaluate decisions before making them.
You have a sunny, cheerful disposition.

Say a little prayer...

(Posted from: http://www.ronandjoe.com/friends/hypnoclp/hypno3/Contents/html/3_little_guy_2.html)

for my dad...

he's going to an interview tomorrow morning for a hematologist position at a private lab. He's been out of work over a year (actually it'll be 2 years in July) and we're all keeping our fingers crossed that he gets it.

Much appreciated!

Tish is hitched!

Pictures from the big event can be viewed here!

It was a lovely affair...a little surprising at times, but fun =)

I was sitting a the table with Al, Henry, Gunther, Angie, Juliana and Mike. My "data" would have been Duke Andreas, but his son was sick =(

My "Date"

Al & Henry

I would say it was a psyuedo-renaissance wedding...some people were in garb...there were a LOT of SCAdians that weren't...it was an interesting mix. It was cool to discover that Alayne, Bridgette and family were the caterers!!! It was so cool! I got to raid the kitchen and take home leftovers! It was awesome...and it was of course awesome to see them...it has been quite a while! October I think! The not good surprising thing was to discover that Adam was a morman and was married in a Morman Church (AKA NO BOOZE or CAFFEINE!)!!! Can you believe it!?! A wedding without a stich of booze! Anyway we all made the best of it and the food more than made up for the fact...boy was the food AWESOME! Savory Cheese, roast pork, scotch eggs, bread and honey butter, turnip balls, chicken and noodles, mixed veggie and cheese platters, little pastries with beef and cheddar inside...did I mention savory cheese! It was divine!

And we did dance a bit...electric slide, macarena, you know..."wedding" dance songs...

The wedding ended about 6pm...so we (I drove out there with Erlan and Isabode) left...went back to Erlan's house, changed (except me b/c I didn't bring extra clothes with me) and went to the mall and saw Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It was a CGI flick that was pretty good!

I think I got home around 11:30pm...it was a very nice day...now I'm procrastinating over all the work I need to do...you know...the ususal...but it's such a NICE DAY OUTSIDE...until later...

TGIF!

I'm feeling good =)

I had a sugar-free nonfat cinnamon dolce latte this morning and a belgian waffle with strawberries =) I am a happy girl!

On another note...I finally completed (as much as I could ~ 95% of my homework) and submitted it at 11:30pm last night.

I'm currently working on my VP Project...and of course am procrastinating...what else is new, right!

This weekend I've got a wedding and I need to work on 1 more scroll for April, plus start my 2 projects (Law and Statistics)...

...and clean house a bit...I need to do some laundry and mop =(

These are the lyrics from my fav song by her:
Smile
When you first left me I was wanting more
But you were doing that girl next door, what ja do that for
When you first left me I didn't know what to say
I never been on my own that way, just sat by myself all day

I was so lost back then
But with a little help from my friends
I found a light in the tunnel at the end
Now you're calling me up on the phone
So you can have a little whine and a moan
And it's only because you're feeling alone

At first when I see you cry,
yeah it makes me smile, yeah it makes my smile
At worst I feel bad for a while,
but then I just smile I go ahead and smile

Whenever you see me you say that you want me back
And I tell you it don't mean jack, no it don't mean jack
I couldn't stop laughing, no I just could help myself
See you messed up my mental health I was quite unwell

I was so lost back then
But with a little help from my friends
I found a light in the tunnel at the end
Now you're calling me up on the phone
So you can have a little whine and a moan
And it's only because you're feeling alone

At first when I see you cry,
yeah it makes me smile, yeah it makes my smile
At worst I feel bad for a while,
but then I just smile I go ahead and smile

lalalalalalalalalalalalalalalala lalala

At first when I see you cry,
yeah it makes me smile, yeah it makes my smile
At worst I feel bad for a while,
but then I just smile I go ahead and smile

so tired...

I'm at the point where I'll soon be sticking toothpicks in my eyes to keep them open. I spent 3 hours on the scroll...I'm about 90% done...for more info on that check here.

Now...I've been working on my homework for the past hour and I just can't keep awake! I only have 2 problems...but they have like 5 parts each! So far I did what I could on 1 and I am working on 2 parts of the other one.

Soon...soon I can sleep...and then the weekend is here! Yippee!!!

Can you tell I'm excited =)

And I'm STRESSED so you know all I'm thinking about are chocolate, sweets and chips! I'm trying to be good...I didn't go to the gym all week...BUT PUSHED myself to go today and I'm glad I did, but now I'm REALLY TIRED! I'm going to sleep really well tonight!

Veronica's Wedding

Wow...that pretty much sums up the weekend =)

I had a GREAT time and here are some pictures...

I got there on Friday night...the weather was HORRIBLE...a trip that took me 1/2 hour on Sunday took 1.5 hours on Friday...I was going 30 mph the whole way and saw about 8 accidents! Luckily, I left early and arrived at 6:30pm (the rehersal dinner was to start at 7 ish) so I thought things were good...well everyone didn't show up until almost 9pm! And we didn't finish until after 11pm! It was fun, but I got LIT sitting at the bar by myself...talking with a group of people from another wedding and the bartender =) Then we went back to Veronica's room and helped her compile the programs. I don't think we got to be until after 1:30am.

On Saturday morning, we got up at around 8ish...Caroline and I were steaming out VLee's dress...and had breakfast (which was EXCELLENT - I had BACON). Then we got ready for the wedding (which was suppose to start at 11:30am and didn't until after 12 noon). Anyway...after all the excitement (wrong shirt and NO shoes for the groom) he gets there and we're ready to start...the day went by in a flash...one moment we're at the cermony, and they exchange vows and kiss...the next we're taking pictures at the cocktail hour...then we're dancing...the next thing I know everyone is GONE and it's time to go home! WOW was it a fun time =) The festivities ended around 6pm...then I went back to my room...took a 2 hour nap! Then the phone rang and Veronica and Jordan asked if Caroline and I wanted to go to dinner with them...and the MOVIES (ON THEIR WEDDING NIGHT) and we did...we saw the 12:40am showing of Ghostrider (WHICH WAS EXCELLENT!) so we didn't get back until 3:30am...

Hit the sack...was up after 9am Sunday morning for buffet breakfast (YUMMY) and say our good-byes to everyone. I had a lovely time...hectic, busy, not much sleep, BUT WHAT ELSE is new in my world =)

so TIRED!

I can barely keep my eyes open...yet I have a TON of stuff to do before I go to sleep tonight...

...like...

1) Finish scroll # 1
2) Start scroll # 2
3) wash hair and set in rollers
4) nails?
5) pack for the weekend
6) pack outfit for work on Monday! (I'm going to be away for the whole weekend for the wedding)
7) go to the bank and get $$$ (wedding gift, pay Papa for car, etc.)
8) Finish homework - JUST FINISHED AND EMAILED TO MY PROFESSOR!!!!

So...as you can see...sleep is going to be a distant future for me...and it's not even like tomorrow is going to be a cruising day...I've got back to back meetings tomorrow and I have to draft up a response to my VP on the project (she sent me a previous project) and quite honesty mine is much more indepth...and I have yet to finish my analysis)...

ooh...and I've got 2 school projects to start!

AND...that work project is due the end of THIS MONTH...

no rest for the weary...kinda my mantra, huh??

Spring is in the air...

I've got to say that despite being a little tired (I went to yoga last night and was "energized" so I finished the calligraphy on one scroll, and read 3 chapters in a novel...and didn't fall asleep until well after midnight), I feel really good.

I have half of my school work done (2/3 done with the semester)...2/3 of one scroll (of 3 done)...and things are just chugging along...but I'm not feeling the stressed anxiety like I was last week.

Work is going well...the weather is lovely (I can't believe that it's going to be up to 60 degrees today) and it's slowing down a bit...so I'm getting a chance to catch my breath. I'm feeling happy...and I just wanted to share.

It could also be attributed to the fact that I had an awesome and relaxing weekend this past weekend...and this weekend my friend's getting married...and next weekend my friend's getting married...it's just a good time right now.

Hope everyone else can same pretty much the same =)

Best to you all...

Today I leave you with a gorgeous shot that I took when I was snowshoeing up in Oneonta a couple of weeks ago...it's a section of earth exposed in the snow...a sure sign that spring is nearly here...and look at the shape it has revealed...

I had so much fun that I didn't get home until 3pm Sunday! *lol*

On the upside...I figured out one of the scrolls I'm suppose to be working on...it's sketched, and half calligraphed...the other I have to figure out the design.

And work...well...you really don't want to know...let's just say I'm going to be here tonight for a while...and it's a BEAUTIFUL DAY outside!

At least I will try to make yoga tonight...keep your fingers crossed that I make it.

How much of this do you really think fits???

The Everything Test

There are many different types of tests on the internet today. Personality tests, purity tests, stereotype tests, political tests. But now, there is one test to rule them all.

Traditionally, online tests would ask certain questions about your musical tastes or clothing for a stereotype, your experiences for a purity test, or deep questions for a personality test. We're turning that upside down - all the questions affect all the results, and we've got some innovative results too! Enjoy :-)

Personality
You are more logical than emotional, more concerned about self than concerned about others, more atheist than religious, more dependent than loner, more lazy than workaholic, more traditional than rebel, more artistic mind than engineering mind, more idealist than cynical, more leader than follower, and more extroverted than introverted.

As for specific personality traits, you are adventurious (100%), adventurous (90%), romantic (86%), intellectual (80%).

Stereotypes
Prep92%
Young Professional88%
Punk Rock80%
Life Experience
Sex40%
Substances11%
Travel58%

Politics
Your political views would best be described as Socialist, whom you agree with around 61% of the time.
Socioeconomic
Your attitude toward life best associates you with Upper Class. You make more than 0% of those who have taken this test, and 57% more than the U.S. average.

If your life was a movie, it would be rated PG-13.
By the way, your hottness rank is 64%, hotter than 90% of other test takers.

Check out this website: http://wildhogs.movies.go.com/

This is the custom hog I made for myself...you know...if I was ever going to get one of those things....

So the law brief is done, midterm done...scroll...NOT done...need to work on it tonight although, I've got to be honest with you...I feel like just going to sleep early...I have to be up early tomorrow b/c I've got a 2 hour drive ahead of me to be there at 10am...I figure...I'll work on the scroll next week and mail it...I was trying to save postage, but I couldn't get it done in time.

Why do I feel guilty for not wanted to work on it? And don't even get me started on the ones I haven't started yet....

Well...Happy Friday everyone =)

Monster of the Deep...

Pretty cool...

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/17506125/site/newsweek/

Makes ya wonder about what else is out there...

Help a gal out...

I normally don't post things like this, but this is for a good cause...and it's really EASY. It took me 2 seconds...so take a sec and just do it.

You probably have never thought of this, but women's shelters in the U.S. go through thousands of tampons and pads monthly. Assistance agencies generally help with expenses of "everyday" necessities such as toilet paper, diapers, and clothing, but one of the most BASIC needs is overlooked - feminine hygiene products.

(Who is at the helm of the funding assistance agencies anyway!?)

Seventh Generation, a green paper products and cleaning products company, has a do-good attitude and will donate a box of sanitary products to a women's shelter in your chosen state - just for clicking the link. Talk about easy (literally takes less than 1 minute and they ask nothing of you). And, yes, it is legitimate!

Thanks for helping out. Please pass this on...

See...that wasn't hard =)

WOW!!!!

You know...I must have some angels, or God(s) smiling down on me...I just got an email from my professor letting me know that I got an A on my midterm =)

Gina
*relieved*

now I just need to get the same results and feel just as good about the law stuff!

Keep your fingers crossed for me!

New Sutton pics!

Jane just added more pics from Sutton...here's a group shot from the trip. What a good time that was =)
Things are picking up...I have some energy which I'm going to need tonight to do this law brief. I just reviewed the website...it's due tomorrow at 5pm EST! So I really need to get on it. Ask me tomorrow at 5:01pm how I'm doing *g*
I just emailed my Statistics test to my professor...so I'm thinking about that anymore...
Got the words for one of my scrolls...now just need to calligraph it onto the scroll...BUT the problem is that it's in Russian (which is good b/c the translation is shorter than the english) BUT I'm stuck as to which hand I should be using! Any ideas???
Otherwise...life is...what it is...so I'm am taking it one day at a time...what else is there to do?

Tuesday, March 06, 2007

tired so not even the word....

Another beautiful day another beautiful lotus (I'm really finding nice ones lately!)

I'm pooped! I feel like I ran a marathon and now my energy is totally zapped. I had that tour today for my intern (and a few others) at Corporate headquarters! Whoa...was that a workout (mentally, physically and logistically). I'm glad it's over. I had fun with it and I think the students enjoyed it, but...now I'm crashing.

Midterm...I've completed 130+ questions...I think I did ok with them...I guessed on a few...cross your fingers for me that I get an A.

Law Brief...I did mention that the case I was going to use was out of date and now I had to go look for a brand new one! I don't know what I'm going to do because it's super hard to decide on something and the darn thing is due in 2 days! And I have nothing!

BUT...even as I type this my eyelids are falling down! I can't seem to get focused!

For the remainder of the evening, my plan is to put some size down for my gilding on one scroll. Take a shower and go to bed! I've got a 7:30am meeting tomorrow (that I'm chairing) so I can't be late...and the way I'm feeling I'm gonna be late so I think I need to actually get some sleep tonight! Then I'm working late tomorrow to finish (well...start AND finish) the law brief. I think I have until 11:59pm Thursday to submit it...

Thursday is going to be busy because I've got to pick up my dress! I can't wait to see how it fits...and I can't believe the wedding is next week! My nails are SHORT...I have no idea what I'm going to do with my hair! Arg!

Oneonta 2007

I can't believe these snowshoes are from World War II...and I used them for over an hour...and they are still ok!

I had a great time this past weekend in Oneonta! I can't believe that my friend Cheryl, from college, has lived there over 3 years and this was the first trip I made out there. She's living with her boyfriend, Steve, his son - Alex, and Rex...her wired haired Hungarian bird dog (forgot the name of the breed)...you can find him here.

So I actually went up there to teach a few workshops at school on Friday, but the weather was really bad and school got cancelled! This actually worked out quite well for me, because I wasn't feeling well when Cheryl first woke me up to tell me school was cancelled. I actually went back to sleep (she and Steve went out to buy doors for thier house (that they gutted and are not remodelling)). I woke up...had breakfast, took drugs for my cramps, played with Rex and watched "The Longest Yard"...quite funny BTW...and worked up enough energy to work on my midterm for like an hour. When Cheryl and Steve got back, we went out to lunch at Athenos...I had a hamburger with feta cheese and Tziki sauce...something I ate was BAD because I felt like crap for a LONG TIME after that...we walked around town and saw a few neat shops. Then we went back to the house and vegged out! I think we watched 4 movies back to back..."The Chronicles of Riddick", "Finding Forrester", "Aliens vs. Predator" and "The Bourne Supremacy"...wow were those some great movies...I had never seen some of them before (all except Riddick). We didn't get to sleep until after 2am!

Some of my favorite lines...'cause I found a bunch in these movies, but the one I want to share with you is from "Alien vs. Predator".

One of the characters is putting a gun in her shoulder holster...the ice climber/explorer says, "you know I've never seen a gun save a person's life on the ice". The other woman replies, "I know, but it's like a condom, I'd rather have one and not need it, then not have one". THAT IS GOING TO BE MY NEW LINE =) Don't ya love me =)

Sunday morning, I woke up feeling great! We got dressed and headed over to Cheryl's friend and co-worker, Anne's house. She's such a great person! I enjoyed visiting with her...and love her art! From painted boxes in watercolor, to felted scarves, and collage work.

Anne meets Abby!

I can't believe we were visiting with Anne so long...we were at her house from 10:30am to 3:30pm! But the time went so quickly it didn't even feel like we were there 2 hours! We made leather bound journals and Anne has my handout so I think she's going to show the kids at school.

Then we headed over to Steve's dad's house - AKA "THE farm" - all 160 acres of it. It was quite scenic and I had a great time snowshoeing with Cheryl. Afterwards, we visited the cows and horses...and then had hot cocoa and pie with Steve's dad.

Cheryl leading the way...

It was such a lovely relaxing weekend...I didn't DO much but it was nice...and I'm ok with that! Cheryl wants to me to come visit...often...I don't know about the often part, but I will come back for another visit. She was telling me about a sailing trip in June...I've never sailed so it may be something new to try =)

ooh...funny story...we're eating pie...she farts...Steve's dad says, "You say something?" and she says, "It must be barking spiders!" OMG I almost fell off my chair! I miss Cheryl...she's such a hoot!
The air felt crisp and clean...it was quite warm while we were out...it was a gorgeous afternoon at the farm...next time Cheryl tells me we have to shoot clay pigeons =) Me with a gun...scary, huh!?!

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend!
