When I am faced with any "big gulp" project, (i.e., bigger than I can consume at one sittitng), I suggest "dividing" it into logical parts. So for term paper, it might be: (1) collect crib notes; (2) create outline; (3) write openinging; (4) write close; (5) itemize tasks in the middle. Then, spend ten solid minutes doing the most important part at that moment in time. I use an egg timer. I can do "anything" for ten minutes. Then when the timer goes off, pencils down, and reward yourself with a walk (to rest room, to window, to but past the refige, give yourself a glass of cold water as reward). Now that wasn't so bad. Do another 10 if you can. I find if I fool myself into ten minutes, it magically can get done. No one can eat a baloney at one sitting. But you can if it is in nice thin slices. It's a mickey mouse trick but works for me. Fjohn68

Hey! Thanks for the advice...I'm going to try it later...or tomorrow. At the moment I'm SWAMPED and can't wait until I get my shift relieved!

Thanks for taking the time to give some thoughts. I appreciate it.
